How can culture be sustainable? How can the cultural sector respond to climate change and collaborate with the ecology, economy, social service, education, conservation, technology and tourism sector and contribute to the promotion of sustainable development of society? The first Hong Kong Culture and Sustainability Conference will feature over 100 participants from various sectors discussing a wide range of related themes. Public are welcome to join online.
This year's Culture and Sustainable Conference explores the theme of Advocacy, Practice, and Conservation (A P+C), highlighting three essential pillars for a sustainable future:
Advocacy - Using culture and cultural platforms to promote, advocate, explore, and debate sustainable development.
Practice - Practising carbon reduction, social and environmentally sustainable development in the operation of cultural institutions and projects.
Conservation - Conserving cultural heritage to maintain the sustainable development of the society.
Language of the Conference: English, Cantonese, Putonghua
