Swing Dance originated in the Harlem district of New York City in the 1920s. People would gather in dance halls of various sizes to meet new friends and enjoy the popular music of the time - Swing Jazz - through dancing. As a social dance, Swing Dance emphasizes personal expression and human connections, making it accessible even to those without dance experience.
Quarryside is thrilled to partner with Swing Pocket and establish a series of evening Swing Dance events, including beginner classes, cultural salons and social parties, for office workers to join and experience Swing Dance in different dimensions.
