Presented by the Master of Arts in Cultural Management (MACM) Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Bits and Bites Festival makes its debut this April—transforming Quarryside into a vibrant playground of everyday encounters.
✨Don’t miss out on our exciting upcoming programs—stay tuned!✨
The inaugural “Bits and Bites Festival” is both an exploration and celebration of everyday life. Taking place on 17th and 18th April 2026 at Quarryside, the Festival’s venue and community partner, Bits and Bites Festival features performances, workshops, experiences, discoveries, and conversations curated by current cohort of the MACM students.
Over two days of programming, the Festival invites audiences to savour the spirit and meaning of commonness, ordinariness, smallness, and everydayness in us. Ordinary “bits” of daily living—objects, sounds, memories, stories, ingredients, fleeting moments—are transformed into “bites”: shared experiences that connect people across ages, backgrounds, and communities. Over the weekend, audiences can drop in to explore rhythmic live performances, interactive community experiences, hands-on discovery workshops, and cross-generational conversations, alongside special highlight premieres like senior theatre and community-vision screenings.
