Overview

Quarryside is composed of two sections: the Sitting-out Area and Event Area. The Sitting-out Area is a pet-friendly area; the Event Area opens from 9am to 9 pm.

Babycare Room (Dummy)

As the pandemic subsides, what kind of everyday life do you envision? This August, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant: Make a Difference School (MaD School) collaborates with dedicated changemakers from various fields to explore a unique vision of community living. Together, we'll listen, discuss, experiment, and experience a different perspective on community life.

Family Lavatory (Dummy)

Sitting-out Area

This is a Pet-friendly Area – Visitors are required to follow the users’ code of “Pet-friendly Area” to keep the environment hygienic and safe for other visitors.

Event Area

Opens daily from 9am to 9pm. The Event Area are will be open to public for leisure use when it is not occupied by events. (non pet-friendly area)

Dockyard Theatre

Visitors can take a seat around the steps for relaxation and leisure use. Dockyard Theatre can be used for events upon application.

Community Kitchen

Community Kitchen can host cooking classes and tasting workshops to foster community connections and relationships through food.

Workshop Space

A space where artists and creators can showcase their works and conduct workshops to engage the public.

Pet-friendly Lawn

There are pet-friendly drinking fountains and pet’s play equipment.

Function Room 1-3

Function Room 1 is equipped with mirrored wall and ballet barres. The three Function Rooms can be connected into one larger event space to accommodate different activities such as ceremonies, seminars, team retreats, etc.

Accessible Lavatory (Dummy)

The project received support from the Development Bureau’s “Funding Scheme to Support the Use of Vacant Government Sites by Non-government Organisations”, which approved a HKD60 million grant for the construction of the project. Swire Properties, as the Supporting Partner of the project, provides consultancy support for the design, construction and operation of the community space. St. James’ Settlement received a HKD15 million sponsorship from the Swire Trust to operate the space.
